The goals, objectives and Policies of this Plan provide a solid framework for achieving the long term aspirations of the City and its citizens in becoming the municipality of choice. This insightful and innovative document will guide and direct growth and change in the City over the next 20 years.
The new Official Plan has been forwarded to the Regional Municipality of Niagara for approval. Once approved, this Plan will replace the current Plan and provide the Policy framework for implementing the City’s vision for a sustainable and liveable community. Objections or comments regarding the City’s adopted new Plan must now be made to the Regional Municipality of Niagara as it is the approval authority.
Any person or public body is entitled to receive Notice of Decision of the Regional Municipality of Niagara if a written request to be notified of the decision is made to the Region at the following address:
