Small Business Services Extended to Welland

Media Release: Jan. 24, 2012 – The City of St. Catharines’ Enterprise Centre is partnering with the Welland Development Commission and Welland Job Gym to provide seminars and one-on-one business consultation services in the Rose City.
Seminars and consultation with an Enterprise Centre representative will happen the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Job Gym at 225 East Main St. The services are free but an appointment is required for consultations, which will be booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is also required to attend seminars.



T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year Award Nominations

The prestigious, T. Roy Adams Humanitarian of the Year is awarded annually by Niagara Region to a current resident of Niagara to honour the memory of the late T. Roy Adams.
This is the tenth year of the Award. The recipient will be someone who best exemplifies Roy's values and dedication to community service; person who sees volunteerism as an integral part of their life. T. Roy Adams was an eminent Niagaran, well known throughout the Region, Canada, and abroad for his service to God, his country and his
fellow citizens.
The deadline for receiving nominations is March 31, 2012.

Merritt Island Trail Closure

Due to construction being performed to expand Highway 406, Merritt Island Trail will be closed from the Woodlawn Road overpass to the Highway 406 overpass commencing on August 15, 2011.
Expected completion date is unknown at this time.
